The Monitor 10" Turbine Pitless Unit, for line shaft turbine pumps, forms a watertight extension of the water well casing. While the upper casing extension is 12 inches or more above grade, the Turbine Pitless Unit discharge is buried below grade for a sanitary transfer of water to a water tower or water treatment plant. The Turbine Pitless Unit upper casing is flanged to receive a motor. Once the motor assembly is made to the Turbine Pitless Unit, a complete assembly is formed and a watertight seal is formed.
 
Options for turbine pitless units include: epoxy coating, flanged upper casing, and water sampler.
 
The Monitor Turbine Pitless Unit bearings are water lubricated.

CORROSION PROTECTION — all water passages are either hot-dipped lead free galvanized or constructed of corrosion resistant material for longer life and less maintenance costs.

O–RING SEAL PROTECTION — Monitor seal protection prevents seal damage during installation and service, eliminating potential service costs.

FROST PROOF — No Heating is required. All water passages are below the frost line.

QUICK TO INSTALL — A quality booster pump installation can be made easily and economically without delay for masonry or building construction, creating a cost savings solution.

EASY TO SERVICE — Well cap can be removed without disconnecting cables. O-ring seals on spool permit withdrawal of the entire inner assembly simply by lifting. Replacement is equally simple. Spool support eliminates vertical adjustment allowing service above ground.

RELIABLE SEALS — Neoprene O-Rings between accurately machined hot-dipped lead free galvanized surfaces on the spool and within the unit provide positive seals to ensure maintenance free performance.

WATERTIGHT WELL CAP — Designed to permit removal without disconnecting cables. Watertight cable and conduit sealing are available for additional protection.

HOLD-DOWN — Supplied with each unit. Hold-down pipe also serves as lift-out pipe for installation and servicing.

ALTERNATIVE DISCHARGE & INLET CONNECTIONS — Are available to meet your projects specifications.

NOTE: Provision for prelubrication not available.
NOTE: Units are designed for motors having an RPM of 1800 or less and a 10” or 12” base diameter having a 9-1/8” bolt circle. Maximum bury depth will be 9 feet. For units requiring exceptions to these conditions of design, special specifications must be used.
NOTE: Any combination between Column Pipe and Discharge Outlet size is possible, if required.
